Steam Launch #2
The Mahogany clad "Cheddar Models" condenser can be seen at the right hand side of the engine.
The chequer plate on the floor of this boat was removable to allow access to the bilge. This was for draining the water that builds up, mainly from the steam engine itself. The brass canopy supports can clearly be seen on this photograph. They are made from 1/4 inch brass bar, softened by heating before bending to shape, then polished. The brass tiller arm is milled from the solid, then polished up.
