This is an aerial view of a steam launch showing the teversing gearbox coupled to a Stuart Turner Double 10V steam engine.

This is the earlier geared type of reversing gearbox that I used to make. I now find it better to use direct drive, because there are no frictional losses or gear "whine". Both the current MainSteam Models reversing gearboxes use the same well proven internal proprietary "HPI" reversing module.

This Stuart Turner Double 10V steam engine has a Stuart Turner type displacement lubricator fitted.

I now fit my own type which are larger & hold more oil for longer runs.

The red item at the top of this photograph is a wick feed lubricator reservoir which was used for constant lubrication of the main bearings of the steam engine itself.
