This is the way that the radio conrol servos were arranged in the first steam launch of this type that I built.
Since that time, I now always have the servos in the seats, with metal rods moving the various parts of the steam plant controls.
On this particular steam launch, the flexible wire rod linkages were all inside copper pipes & were built into the hull's wooden inner structure.
The rudder servo however, is still in the radio compartment in all other steam boats.
