This photograph show the first boat that I built with the Cheddar Proteus" steam engine fitted.
The three tone chime whistle is clearly visible. I now use single whistles as the three tone chime whistle used far too much steam!
A standard boiler feed hand pump is visible on the opposite side, which takes its water from the water tank in the bow.
The other two pipes are the feed & water bypass for the crankshaft driven pump.
