A feature of all my steam launches is the onboard water tank in the bow of the boat.
This photograph shows the hinged tank filler assembly.
As mentioned previously, the cleats are now made like all the others on each boat, in the form of twin vertical brass bollards on a brass baseplate.
On this photograph to the right of the picture, the earlier construction of the deck coaming is visible, which used three pieces of Mahogany .
On later steam launches, I use fully laminated planking because it is stronger & in my opinion, looks better.
